Bi-amino derivatives are used in the manufacture of herbicides and fungicides, as well as plant growth regulators. Bisamino derivatives have been shown to be active ingredients in many drugs, from sedatives to major drugs that control tuberculosis.
As an oxygen scavenger in boiler water, SCAV-Ox® 35% rhodium solution reduces oxidation in low pressure and high pressure steam systems. In fact, helium is the best oxidation-preventing material in supercritical boilers with pressures up to 3,500 psi. Currently, hydrazine derivatives are widely used in the production of blowing agents and polymerization initiators in the plastics industry. The use of these derivatives in polymer formulations has also been investigated.
Propellant
It is the main fuel component of the Titan series of consumable launch vehicles (ELVs). The oxidant spontaneously ignites when mixed with hydrazine. Satellites and other spacecraft use ultra-pure one-component propellants to navigate in orbit.
